Perrins Solicitors LLP was established in 1997 by Frederick Perrin, who has practised property law since 1972, specifically to serve the commercial property, development and social housing markets. Since then he has built a first-class team of solicitors with extensive knowledge and many years’ practical experience in their specialisms, which can offer clients a comprehensive legal property service. Perrins prides itself on its ability to identify and meet its clients’ objectives and be an accessible, approachable partner at all times. We believe it is expertise backed by empathy that sets us apart. The continuing loyalty of our clients over many years is testament to the service we offer.
We now act for a wide range of property clients in the private and not for profit sectors, including a large number of major registered providers, private developers and construction companies.
Among our not for profit clients we number some 60 Housing Associations and Local Authorities across London, the Thames Valley, the South East, and East Anglia. As solicitors to so many Registered Providers, we can provide expertise from development site acquisition, shared ownership sales and drawdown funding through to housing litigation, including anti-social behaviour, tenant management, and homelessness issues.
Perrins expertise is well recognised within the profession. It has achieved Grade 1 status amongst social housing law firms in the Thames Valley Region in the prestigious Chambers and Partners Directory of Law Firm Rankings. Four of our team leaders have been ranked “leaders in their field” in the 2011-12 edition. This is one of the most frequently used directories of law firms in the profession and their vetting process is totally objective and very rigorous. In addition, in the “Legal 500” publication we have been ranked in Tier 2 for Social Housing in the South East and our litigation team is rated “excellent” in this field. They can offer solicitor advocacy up to Supreme Court level.
But we aim to provide more than leading legal expertise. Our long term wider involvement in the property sector means that the support we can offer is that much greater, as we understand the particular challenges you confront. Put quite simply, we speak your language.
The Perrins Approach
We recognise that clients need a firm which is approachable and accessible; it is a critical part of the value we provide. In fact, we always aim to ensure that our clients regard us as an extension of their in-house teams.
We always look to be proactive and creative, and to help our clients throughout the life of projects and cases, from initial planning to completion and/or resolution.
We do not expect you to come to our offices. If it is not convenient, we will come to you, and we will do our very best to be as available as we can, even at short notice.
We understand the pressures and constraints that those involved in property transactions can often be under, so we excel in helping clients to meet their objectives, and to meet them on time. Perrins will always go the extra mile for clients: our ethos is to provide support whenever needed, for example, to meet tight deadlines for grant claims or other funding. We know that sometimes the situation demands long hours or weekend work when deadlines are critical, so this is what we do.
We are always interested in understanding more about what our clients need and where we can improve. To this end, we invest in our relationships with clients. We set great store by regular meetings between our client staff and their counterparts at Perrins, to heighten mutual understanding and respect. This enables any issues to be raised, discussed, and dealt with transparently and constructively.
