Perrins were delighted to assist in a recent initiative by Barratt Homes who teamed up with pupils from St.John’s Catholic School in Baldock, Herts last Friday, 16 July, to create a long lasting memory of the local community, by burying a time capsule at the housebuilder’s Templar’s Gate development.

Last year Perrins sponsored an essay competition at Sir John Lawes School near its Waterside offices. This was extremely well received by staff and students and we were delighted to continue the initiative this year. The response by the first year sixth students was tremendous, both for the numbers of entries and their quality. Perrins staff found it really difficult to select the three winners from the final shortlist. The essays, on a range of social themes, were thoroughly researched, highly articulate and showed real thought and commitment. All the entrants, not just the winners, were a credit to their school. Our thanks also to the highly dedicated staff at Sir John Lawes for their enthusiasm and especially for narrowing down a difficult task for us!

On the 2nd March Fred Perrin and Mandy Miller attended a celebration arranged by their clients, Aldwyck Housing Group, at their Biddenham Vale site near Bedford. The event, entitled “Celebrating Partnerships” was to mark Aldwyck’s success in delivering 500 new affordable homes for their customers this financial year despite the recession. The event was attended by Aldwyck’s Chief Executive, Harj Singh, the Mayor of Bedford, Dave Hodgson and representatives of Aldwyck’s Development Team as well as representatives of Aldwyck’s Stakeholders involved in the scheme. Perrins joins Harj Singh and the Mayor in congratulating the Aldwyck team in making this vital contribution to delivering sustainable communities to the people of Bedfordshire.Read more...
