Fred Perrin
Senior Partner
Fred founded Perrins Solicitors in 1997 after more than 25 years’ experience of commercial property and development acquisition in London and the Northern Home Counties.
His increasing specialisation in Social Housing development acquisitions and related funding during the period of major growth and change in the 80s and 90s inspired the creation of Perrins, as a practice dedicated to the Social Housing sector.
Today, Fred is responsible for the overall management and direction of the firm, and maintains a key interest in overall quality control and case management. Nonetheless, he continues to work for clients on complex transactions, bringing particular areas of expertise in site acquisition, including consortium site acquisition. He is also experienced in short and long term funding and funding by sale and lease-back and rent securitisations, together with the negotiation and finalisation of section agreements.
Several major Housing Association and developer clients continue to instruct Fred, in some cases continuing a working relationship that has endured for some 25 years. Their continuing loyalty to him and to Perrins Solicitors is testament to the quality of service that Fred and the firm at large provides.
Fred’s commitment to Social Housing extends beyond the boundaries of his legal work. He is currently Secretary of the Hertfordshire Housing Conference Limited, the non-profit making company which runs the annual and highly successful Hertfordshire Housing Conference in St Albans, while Perrins also sponsors WISH (Women in Social Housing) and the North Herts Ethnic Minority Forum.
